Broome offers excellent fishing. Indo-Pacific sailfish and Marlin are abundant just off the coast of Broome from May to October.

Several major fishing tournaments, including a fly fishing event, are held each year in the town.

Species like trevally, queenfish, mackerel, tuna, mangrove jack, coral trout, emperor, cobia, threadfin salmon and barramundi are found here year round.

Boat charters and tours are a wonderful way to take advantage of the local fishing knowledge.
